Shortage of Towerlights in Bulawayo

The  shortage  of  tower lights  in  streets  around  the  city  of  Bulawayo  is  increasing.
 Street  lights  are  very  essential  during  the  night  both  for  drivers  and  pedestrians  and  without  them it  means  more  accidents  on  the  streets.
The  City  Council  is  responsible  for  this  problem  and  should  not  take  it  lightly.
 Street  lighting  require  ongoing  maintenance.
After  a  discharge  lamp  has  failed  it  should  be  replaced.
 However  the  City Council  has  been  ignoring  some  of  these  issues  not  
considering  that   it  causes  accidents which  may  take  the  lives  of  people. As  i  was  getting  into  town  recently  around  7.00pm, Leopold  Takawira  street  was  dark  and  the  motorists  had  to  rely  on  their  vehicles  for  light.
 Unfortunately  for  pedestrians  they  did  not  have  light  except  for  that  coming  from  the  traffic.Street  lights  are  intended  to  reveal  signs  and   hazards  outside  of  the  headlights  beam  but  instead  the  streets  without  lights   do  not  allow  this, giving  a  threat  to  people  traveling  a  night.
