The high water and electricity bills have greatly affected the production of farmers in Zimbabwe. Farmers are reported to be owing 88million dollars to Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA).
According to the Newsday, ZINWA was asked to appeare before the Parliamentary Committee to apprise i5t on delays in implementing dam construction projects.
At the same time Farmers organisations are also complaining about ZESA bills. In the Chronicle newspaper, they said that their members received their earnings once a year, especially without irrigation.
These high bills are in the way of farmers' progress and their hard earned income eventually goes to bills only.
if they were not to pay Zesa or Zinwa, would there be any difference in terms of the output? i dont think so. There are other serious factors than these that make these guys performe poorly. for example the lack of expertise is the one of them and the lack of capital in form of infrastructure or equipment and funds.
ReplyDeletethat is true but at least they should be given a platform to do their business then pay their bills once every year. This will allow them to generate more money to get equipment
